WEST NEBRASKA FIELD OF DREAMS
The Robert Pahlke Law Group is dedicated to supporting the local community and is committed to assisting with a number of youth programs that aim to keep kids out of trouble and encourage personal growth and learning. Our firm is proud to be involved with the West Nebraska Field of Dreams, a sporting facility that provides young people from the community with indoor batting cages and golf range, baseball and softball fields, and the opportunity to be a part of a youth baseball and softball teams.
In 2005 The Robert Pahlke Law Group filed a class action lawsuit against Labelstock on behalf of Nebraska residents for the company’s price fixing. Labelstock admitted no wrongdoing but agreed to pay a settlement, part of which the judge issued as a “cy pres” award, which means that these funds were paid to charities.
In 2011 the courts approved the settlement and allocated the funds according to recommendations made by Attorney Robert Pahlke to the following Nebraska charities:
- Twin City Legion Baseball (to benefit the West Nebraska Field of Dreams) – $41,379.13
- Children’s Rights Organization in Scottsbluff County (CASA) – $20,698.56
- Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska (CAPWN) – $20,698.56
